San Francisco Bread Pudding

This is one of the easiest desserts to make! My husband Peter loves to have it with his coffee in the morning.

San Francisco Bread Pudding

Yield: 6 to 8 Servings

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 45 Minutes


5 ounces of day old Cinnamon Bread

1 cup of milk

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup sugar

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 whole egg

1 egg yolk

½ cup raisins

½ cup toasted walnuts

1 tablespoon vanilla


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients; blend well. The mixture should be very moist. Pour into a buttered 11×7-inch baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes, or until set.

I served this with a warm cream poured over the top because, that’s the way Peter likes it! It’s a very Irish thing to serve warm desserts with a warm heavy cream poured over the top.
