Spanish Tortas, Machego Cheese and Pickled Jalapeno’s
We had some friends stop by this gorgeous (79 degrees) Sunday afternoon so, I put together a bite to eat and of course some Sparkling wine. I rummaged through our fridge and pantry and came up with this delicious appetizer: Spanish Tortas served with Machego Cheese and Pickled Jalapeno’s! I always have a stash of pickled jalapeno’s in my fridge because whenever Peter goes to get our Saturday afternoon burrito (we split one) he always picks up extra pickled jalapeno’s. There are so many different dishes you can use them in and they are fabulous for a quick marinate for grilled steaks.
I picked up the Spanish Tortas the other day at Shopper’s Corner. I must remember to add them to next week’s grocery list…great to have on hand!
I think everyone liked it…there wasn’t a crumb left on the board!:)
