French Fridays with Dorie: Goat Cheese and Strawberry Tartine

I always look at my online cooking club ww.frenchfridayswithdorie.com/ on Fridays to see if this week its “doable” ~ and this week it was! I had all the ingredients: goat cheese, strawberries, balsamic vinegar, black cracked pepper, and a baguette! And it sure was tasty…so good in fact, that I’m adding it to the appetizers for my Catering.
I looked up the definition of a tartine: Tartine definition, a fancy French open-faced sandwich topped with spreadable ingredients. Great, because mine looks more like a bruschetta, basically the same thing, just Italian.
I haven’t been participating in this cooking club much… because I just am so busy! I’m Pierce’s Mama…so naturally he come first, then I’m Catering, Planner/Caterer for a Wedding in August, and opening a Commercial Kitchen with my friend, Marci (who makes these amazing Toffees) and still holding up my 1950’s household (I did marry an Irish man after all!) ~Ha!
…More to come on the Commercial Kitchen ~ after the City passes us! Fingers and Toes crossed!
