Plum & Peach Hand Pies
I made these hand pies for dessert one night for a casual dinner party. I had received the plums in my Farm Fresh box and was dying to do something with them. I had store-bought (I know, I know) pie crust in the fridge ~ instant dessert! And a mighty tasty one at that 🙂 Of course, Peter ate the last one, once again…he’s sneeky and fast! Note to self: hide yummy things for later.
Progress on the Commercial Kitchen: moving at a snail-like pace! Good news…we found a hood and are installing next week (fingers crossed!) ~Keep you posted…
2 plums cut in half
2 peaches cut in half
2 tables of sugar
1 tablespoon flour
Store-bought pie dough sheets
1 egg (for egg wash)
Preheat oven 400 degrees.
Toss plums and peaches with sugar and flour in a bowl. Set aside.
Cut pie dough into square shapes.
Place filling in center of squares and fold with seam side down. Place on oiled (pam spray) sheet pan. Beat an egg slightly and brush pies with egg wash. Put one slit in each pie. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. ~Enjoy!
